The AI revolution comes to Flexlists
Flexlists now has an assistant that doesn’t just answer questions — it builds lists, views, forms, apps and automations for you. Here’s what changed, and where it is going.

For eighteen years Flexlists has been about one idea: most of what a company needs is a list, a few ways to look at it, and the right people around it. The idea hasn’t changed. What changed is who does the work.
Meet Dave
Dave is the assistant inside Flexlists. Open him from any list and ask in plain language:
- “Which projects are late, and who owns them?”
- “Make a list for our job applicants with a status per stage.”
- “Send me an email when a row in Orders is set to Paid.”
Dave reads your lists, answers with real numbers, and when you ask him to build something, he shows you what he is about to create — fields, views, forms — before anything changes. You stay in charge; he does the typing.
From a list to an app
Lists are where your data lives. Around them, Dave can now build:
- Forms — public forms at their own address, with fields that write straight into your list.
- Apps — multi-page applications on top of your lists, for your team or for customers.
- Automations — small programs that run on a schedule or when a row changes: reminders, tallies, reorder alerts, invoices.
- Custom views — describe a view (“a price list grouped per category”) and get it, using your live data.
Everything Dave builds is something you could have built by hand. It just takes minutes instead of days.
Start from the gallery
Not sure what to ask for? The gallery has ready-made forms, apps and automations — a food bank shift planner, a bakery reorder planner, booking forms and more. Copy one into your workspace and change whatever you like, by hand or by asking Dave.
Every view, finally
The views we promised a long time ago are all here and working: List, Spreadsheet, Calendar, Gallery, Kanban, Map, Chart, Gantt, Timeline and the new Mind map. One list, every way to look at it.
Where this is going
We think the next few years of business software look like this: you describe what your team needs, and it exists — built on data you own, in a place you control. Flexlists has always been about putting that power with the people who do the work. AI makes it real.
